Taiwan: China starts its biggest military drills encircling around Taiwan after US house speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. The military exercise from China is a stark warning to Taiwan to cease its relation to western countries.

Pelosi’s trip ended on Wednesday leaving strong threats to the island from China. China claims that Taiwan is a Chinese territory much like Tibet. The military exercise began around 12 pm (0400 GMT), in which multiple ballistic missiles were fired in the oceanic area of Taiwan.

As per news sources Chinese military has fired 11 ballistic missiles into waters near the northern, southern and eastern coasts of Taiwan in several volleys as a retaliatory action to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to the island nation.

According to the state media, “Six major areas around the island have been selected for this actual combat exercise and during this period, relevant ships and aircraft should not enter the relevant waters and airspaces.”

The Taiwan defence military stated that they are closely watching them. The ministry said in a statement, “The Ministry of National Defence stresses that it will uphold the principle of preparing for war without seeking war, and with an attitude of not escalating conflict and causing disputes.”

According to a Chinese military source the military drills are the early preparation for the actual war.

The source said, “If the Taiwanese forces come into contact with the PLA on purpose and accidentally fire a gun, the PLA will take stern countermeasures, and all the consequences will be borne by the Taiwanese side.”

The China is blaming US for all the current occurring scenarios in Taiwan and the cause for the rising tensions amid China and Taiwan.

Amid the China Taiwan tussle, Japanese defence minister Nobuo Kishi said that 5 ballistic missiles fired by Chinese military have appeared to have landed in Japan’s ’Exclusive Economic Zone’ EEZ.
